_Town of Lake City, Colorado 2012 Municipal Election
The 2012 election for the Board of Trustees of the Town of Lake City will be conducted on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Lake City Fire Station at 131 N. Henson Street in Lake City. The following terms will be filled at that time: 2-year unexpired term left by the resignation of Larry Iiams. 4-year term currently held by Rebecca Hall. Rebecca was appointed to the Board of Trustees on December 15, 2010 to fill the vacancy left by the sudden death of Josh Brown. 2-year unexpired term currently held by Rob Hudgeons. Rob was appointed to the Board of Trustees on April 20, 2011 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Russ Brown. 4-year term currently held by Matt Ingram. Matt was appointed to the Board of Trustees on September 7, 2011 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Pete Aldred. 4-year term currently held by Laura Sharpe. Laura was elected in April of 2010 to serve out the unexpired term of Schuyler Denham who resigned on December 31, 2009. 2-year unexpired term currently held by Claude Thormalen. Claude was appointed to the Board of Trustees on November 17, 2010 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Mark McClung. Nominating petitions will be available for circulation beginning on February 13, 2012. Completed petitions must be submitted to the Town Clerk no later than the close of business on March 2, 2012. Candidates must obtain at least 10 signatures from registered voters within the Town of Lake City in order to be nominated. Election Judges NeededThree election judges will be needed for the Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 7am-7pm. Please submit a letter of intent to the Town Clerk by 5:00pm on Monday, February 27, 2012. All interested applicants must be 18 years of age and registered to vote within the Town of Lake City. Judges will be appointed at the Board of Trustees Meeting on March 7, 2012 at 7:30pm. Please call Town Hall at 944-2333 with any questions.
