Lake City National Historic District
Parts of Lake City are included in the Lake City National Historic District and are protected by Town ordinances. New buildings and changes to existing structures must comply with Lake City's Historic Design Guidelines.
In 2011, the Town of Lake City was awarded a Certified Local Government (CLG) grant to build an educational website about the Lake City National Historic District. It includes information for property owners, visitors, and prospective property owners. Resources on the site include:
